Description
After deciding to make music a full-time career, Country/Classic Rock artist Brit Stokes packed up his family and headed for Nashville, Tennessee in August of 2001. Originally from Athens, Texas, Brit is a homegrown talent, influenced at a young age by his father, a talented musician in his own right, but Brit isn’t the only talented artist to come from that region — Lee Ann Womack, Miranda Lambert and Neal McCoy are proud to call East Texas home, as well.
It didn’t take Brit long to land his first gig in the coveted honkytonks of downtown Nashville or become a local favorite of an ever-growing fan base, as was demonstrated by the massive numbers that turned up last November for the release of his new album, “Gypsy Soul.” Since then, his annual performance calendar has grown to over 520 shows a year.
It’s an understatement to say that Brit was overwhelmed by the show of support from his fans, many of whom had traveled great distances to take part in this celebration and pivotal event of his musical career. Fans having seen Brit maybe once performing downtown during a visit to Nashville, and who have been supporting and following him ever since. They could not have been more excited for him
