About

In 1917 a group of thirty Ogle County farmers joined together in a cooperative venture to form an organization to promote agriculture on the local, state and national levels.

Today through the efforts of those thirty farmers the Ogle County Farm Bureau® still thrives, nearing a century of service to our members. The Ogle County Farm Bureau® operates to provide the public with resources to learn about agriculture, and also provide farmers with resources to better their operations. In Ogle County there are over 1200 family farms working to provide food and fiber to feed the world.

Over three-quarters of the landscape in Ogle County exist as farms making agriculture the leading economic engine for our county. Ogle County farmers annually generate over $300 million in sales of commodities including grain and livestock.

This in addition to the millions of dollars spent locally on inputs such as feed, fuel, fertilizer and seed supports the rural communities we call Ogle County.
